Chew on the New Animated Prequel to FX’s ‘The Strain’

Animation - of all forms - has and always will float my boat. And it’s probably obvious that horror is kind of my thing as well. It makes sense that the two would couple quite well. Proving that (as has been done countless times in the past) again is the new animated prequel short for FX’s The Strain. This is an absolute beauty, as is the show itself!

There isn’t a wealth of depth to this brief tale, but it does give us an idea of just how long the nasties of this world have been claiming lives in gory fashion, and it is quite the aesthetically pleasing pic. Dig on The Strain: Survivor below.

The Strain debuts tonight at 10PM on FX. The series features a stellar cast including Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, Miguel Gomez, and David Bradley (who narrates the attached video).
