Enjoy this Trailer in The Darkness

Any film that Kevin Bacon shoots is a film worth seeing. Apollo 13, Mystic River, Sleepers, Stir of Echoes, X-Men: First Class, The River Wild, Super, Footloose, Death Sentence, The Woodsman, Hollow Man, Tremors… I could go on, and on, but I’ll just remind you there’s a film trivia game named after this guy, that’s how astoundingly accomplished and prolific he is. The point is, Kevin Bacon rocks the rock, and that’s all the incentive we need to find allure in his latest genre piece, The Darkness, an eerie tale with some great things going for it.

A brand new trailer has made its way online, and you’re going to want to watch it in advance of the picture’s May 13^th arrival. This one is oozing with promise!

The flick was directed by horror maestro Greg McLean (of Wolf Creek fame) and stars Kevin Bacon (R.I.P.D, Frost/Nixon – in addition to all those other flicks!), genre favorite Radha Mitchell (Rogue, Silent Hill), Lucy Fry (Vampire Academy), Matt Walsh (Ted, The Hangover) and David Mazouz (Gotham).

Synopsis: A family returns home from vacation at the Grand Canyon and innocently bring home a supernatural force that preys off their own fears and vulnerabilities, threatening to destroy them from within, while consuming their lives with terrifying consequences.
