The Trailer for Mike Flanagan’s Hush is Creepy Without a Word

Mike Flanagan’s been on a serious run over the last half-decade. In 2011 he impressed the minds of Hollywood and hardcore genre fans with Absentia. In 2013 Flanagan again had us singing praise for the wildly creepy Oculus. In 2016 he’ll creep fans out on two separate occasions as both Before I Wake and Hush will soon hit the market. Both look quite promising, but it’s Hush that draws our appreciation and promotional push today on HFN.

The new trailer is making the rounds and it’s not exactly comforting. Check it out below.

Kate Siegel. John Gallagher, Jr., Michael Trucco, and Samantha Sloyan

Hush will be available to stream on Netflix on April 8.

Synopsis: In this heart-pounding thriller from acclaimed writer and director Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Before I Wake), silence takes on a terrifying new dimension for a young woman living alone in the woods. Author Maddie Young (Kate Siegel) lives a life of utter isolation after losing her hearing as a teenager. She’s retreated from society, living in seclusion and existing in a completely silent world. But one night her fragile world is shattered when the masked face of a psychotic killer appears in her window. Without another living soul for miles, and with no way to call for help, it appears that Maddie is at the killer’s mercy… but he may have underestimated his prey. As this horrifying game of cat and mouse escalates to a breathless fever pitch, Maddie must push herself beyond her mental and physical limits in order to survive the night.
