Anytime a Halloween themed film comes along, there’s a sense of curiosity and excitement that accompany it. There’s no difference in the case of Tyler Christensen’s new pic, House of Purgatory. It’s an indie effort, but one look at the brand new trailer confirms what we’re all hoping: it looks to be genuinely promising!
Genre staple Brian Krause (Sleepwalkers, Plan 9), Anne Leighton (Criminal Minds, Grimm), Laura Coover (How To Get Away With Murder, Mike & Molly), Aaron Galvin (The Ruffian, The Zero Point) and Lisa Musser star.
Terror Films picked up rights to the film, which it plans to deliver to the masses this Fall. We’re still waiting on an official release date, but when we’ve got one, you’ll know it, because we’re excited about this one!
We’ll also be sharing some clips from the film in the very near future.
House of Purgatory is about four mid-western teenagers who go looking for a fabled haunted house on Halloween night. Once finding it, they slowly realize that the house is much more than a run-of-the-mill Halloween attraction – somehow the house knows each of their deepest secrets. One-by-one the house uses these secrets against the terrified teens, who soon find themselves in a battle to save not only their lives, but also their very souls.
