Kino Lorber is Giving ‘Haunted Honeymoon’ the Blu-ray Restoration it Deserves

Gene Wilder played a crucial role in some of the greatest comedic works to spill from the 1980s. Resting atop my personal list of favorite Gene Wilder films sits Haunted Honeymoon, a classic throwback to classic horror pics with a goofy strand of humor coursing through its cinematic DNA. Sometimes subtle, sometimes in your face, Haunted Honeymoon is always a blast.

Restoration aficionados Kino Lorber just announced plans to give Haunted Honeymoon the affection it has always deserved. The new Blu-ray will feature a full hi-def restoration, and although we don’t have a full list of bonus supplements, Kino Lorber won’t let down. These folks will travel to the end of the earth to gather some of the greatest features we could hope for.

In addition to directing the 1986 cult classic, Gene Wilder also stars alongside Gilda Radner, Dom DeLuise, Jonathan Pryce, Paul L. Smith, Peter Vaughn and Jim Carter.

The Blu-ray will officially be available come September 27^th, 2016.

The film’s star Gene Wilder (The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother) co-wrote and directed this hilarious comedy… featuring great performances by Jonathan Pryce (Brazil), Peter Vaughn (Straw Dogs), Paul L.
