Well now, this news just plain sucks. According to Mike Flanagan, mastermind behind standout efforts Absentia, Oculus and Hush, will see the arrival of his new film, Before I Wake pushed back from its planned September 9th release. Flanagan discussed the change himself, expressing frustration on his Facebook page.
We’re not happy about this, in the least bit. And we’re really unsure of when we’ll actually see this one land in theaters.
The film stars Thomas Jane, Jacob Tremblay, Kate Bosworth and Annabeth Gish.
Synopsis: In this intense and heart pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps.
