‘The Darkness’ and ‘Haunted Honeymoon’ Hit Blu-ray this Week

It’s a solid week for genre releases, especially those who love to collect old gems on Blu-ray, respecting those lovely restorations. On deck are a series of Hammer films, a few American releases with marquee appeal, some killer television content and, of course, a few slick B-movies for fans to chew on! Check out a list of films being released on DVD and or Blu-ray this week!

All Girls Weekend – DVD

Childhood friends try to rekindle their friendship during a weekend in the mountains. While hiking in the forest, the women get lost and start experiencing bizarre accidents. They hear about events at a burnt-down mill, which may have brought about a horrible curse. Alone and hungry, they must battle the elements, each other, and an unforeseen force that is determined to stop them from leaving.

American Conjuring – DVD

A young family who moves into a home with a dark and tragic history they are unaware that it used to be an orphanage and now houses the tormented spirit of a woman named Hester Corbett who killed herself in the basement. But upon their first night of moving into the home, the family soon realizes that that something supernatural might be afoot.

The Darkness – DVD & BLU-RAY

From the producers of The Purge and Insidious, comes this terrifying supernatural thriller starring Kevin Bacon (TV’s The Following) and Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill). When their young son (David Mazouz, TV’s Gotham) brings home five mystical stones he found on their family’s camping trip to the Grand Canyon, Peter (Bacon) and Bronny (Mitchell) begin to notice strange things happening in their house. Having awakened dark forces bound to the rocks, the family fights for survival as malicious demons feed off their fears and threaten to destroy them.

The Dead Room – DVD & BLU-RAY

Step inside the Dead Room, where something sinister guards a home’s horrifying secrets. Inspired by a 1970s urban legend, this atmospheric nerve-shredder follows two scientists (Jed Brophy and Jeffrey Thomas) and a young psychic (Laura Petersen) as they travel to the countryside to investigate mysterious occurrences at a remote farmhouse. Skepticism quickly turns to terror as the researchers’ presence unsettles a seriously angry demonic presence possessing the home.

Tale of Tales – DVD

Supernatural: Season 11 – DVD & BLU-RAY
