Signing up for Amazon Prime has been one of my better recent decisions. There’re all forms of savings in store, but for me, it’s all about the movies. Amazon Prime took care of us this month on releases, completely blowing away the selection Netflix (check out our guide to Prime’s new October additions) is offering.
But one really cool addition I hadn’t spotted until this morning is the brand new anthology, Terrortory. I’m a few hours away from my viewing session, so no verdict on the film’s quality just yet, but you can bet we’ll be bringing you a review very soon.
In the meantime check out some PR info on the feature:
Terrortory is an anthology horror film in the vein of Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt. It features six horrific tales set in the mythical region of Maryland, known for an abundance of strange happenstances and urban legends. It stars a large cast including Johnny Alonso (Coffin, “Gotham”), Melissa LaMartina (Call Girl of Cthulhu), Bianca Allaine (Albino Farm), Maddie Howard (Ping Pong Summer), Nadia White (Milfs vs. Zombies), and more.
Director Kevin Kangas (Fear of Clowns) says, “We’ve been amazed at the response we’ve gotten so far from putting some of our movies on Prime. We had more than a million minutes streamed in the first nineteen days and passed two million minutes in just over a month.”
He says premiering the film on Amazon Prime is a perfect way to get the movie out to as many people as possible in the quickest manner possible. “We can let a ton of people see the flick without signing any lengthy contracts that tie up our rights for years,” says Kangas.
After October 31st the film will be available for streaming but most likely won’t be free, adds the director.
Here’s the trailer, check it out, and if you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, watch the film now while it’s still free!
