‘Evil Dead’ the Unrated Version Comes Home this Month!

The Fede Alvarez news is pouring in, and we couldn’t possibly be more excited about that. Alvarez has proven himself the finest new filmmaker in the business, having already hit two grand slams in the form of the Evil Dead remake and the wildly creepy Don’t Breathe.

While we’ve brought you up to speed on the home release of Don’t Breathe, we haven’t talked much about the unrated version of Evil Dead, which you’re really, really going to want to see!

Hands down the strongest horror film to see release in 2013, Evil Dead (and arguably the greatest remake in history) is about to show up with some bonus material that should have fans jumping for joy.

EVIL DEAD UNRATED will be available on digital platforms on October 25, just in time for Halloween. Fans will be able to see Fede’s unedited vision for the film with five additional minutes that were too intense for theaters. This also marks the first time Digital Extras will be available on Evil Dead.

Five minutes too intense for theaters? Holy hell – the entire film was too intense for theaters (thank the higher powers it still earned a theatrical release), so you know the additional five minutes we’ll soon see is going to be completely insane! As for those Digital Extras… well, we’re stoked – we can say that!

Evil Dead stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore.

Synopsis: Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
