‘Suspiria’ Gets the 4K Treatment

Suspiria

If you’re one of us fans that squeezes comfortably into the “older” category, you’re going to love hearing that Dario Argento’s classic pic, Suspiria, is getting the 4K restoration treatment.

Seeing this awkward but bone chilling classic like never before holds some major allure, so we owe some thanks to TLEFilms, who restored the flick.

All a part of its 40-year anniversary, the restored rendition of the movie will land at the Berlin Film Festival before fanning out for a wider theatrical return.

Jessica Harper, Stefania Casini, and Flavio Bucci star.

Worthy of note (but maybe not a buck) is the now in-production remake of the film. The remake will see Luca Guadagnino behind the cameras while Chloë Grace Moretz, Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson and Mia Goth put their acting chops to use. Harper will also appear in the film as Anke.

Synopsis: In a stormy night, the American dancer Suzy Bannion arrives in Freiburg coming from New York to join a famous and expensive ballet school for a three years training. On the next morning, she is informed by the direction of the school that a student she met leaving the place on the previous night was violently murdered and the police is investigating the crime. She becomes friend of another student, Sara, and she realizes that the house is indeed a coven of evil witches.
