And Now, the Full Length Trailer for ‘The Mummy’
Well, it’s here. The Mummy trailer – not the teaser, but the first full length trailer – has arrived and… it’s interesting. It’s definitely darker than what we saw in the last reboot, but it still looks CGI-reliant, which could spell disaster. I’m still a bit leery, but we’ll have to wait and see how the flick turns out. It’s just too early to get too excited, or discouraged.
Check it out below.
The film stars Sofia Boutella as our mummy Ahmanet. Tom Cruise is the hero Nick Morton and Russell Crowe will play Dr. Henry Jekyll. Annabelle Wallis, Javier Botet, Courtney B. Vance and Jake Johnson star.
Look for the film to hit theaters on June 9th, 2017.
Synopsis: Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.
From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
