The New ‘Rings’ Trailer is Solid but Not Particularly Amazing

F. Javier Gutiérrez is gearing up to see his new installment in the Ring franchise, titled Rings, arrive in the laps of moviegoers across America. How will the film be, and are fans still interested in JHorror, a sub-genre that essentially died a number of years ago? Tough questions to answer, but we’ll know soon as the flick is scheduled to hit theaters on February 3^rd.

The new trailer is here, and it’s decent, even if it does appear as though we’ll be seeing a very CGI-heavy film.

Vincent D’Onofrio, Johnny Galecki, Laura Wiggins and Aimee Teegarden star.

Synopsis: Julia becomes worried about her boyfriend, Holt, when he explores the dark urban legend of a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after viewing. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before.
