Here’s the Long Awaited Trailer for ‘XX’!

XX has been making a whole lot of noise, as this is the first female exclusive anthology film. That’s not to say that only females appear in the film, that’s not the case. Rather, this one will feature all female directors guiding us through some sadistic shorts.

Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?

The trailer, which you’ll see below, is even lovelier, in a brutal way.

Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent) helms “THE BIRTHDAY PARTY”; Karyn Kusama (The Invitation) helms “HER ONLY LIVING SON”; Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound) helms “DON’T FALL”; and Jovanka Vuckovic directs “THE BOX.” Award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo will direct the wraparound.

Natalie Brown, Melanie Lynskey, Breeda Wool, Angela Trimbur, Sheila Vand, Mike Doyle, Christina Kirk, Kyle Allen, Peyton Kennedy, Peter DaCunha, Ron Lea, Jonathan Watton, Lisa Renee Pitts, and Morgan Peter Brown star.

Expect the flick to premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight category.

Synopsis: XX is a female-driven horror anthology with each director given full creative license to tell any story they choose revolving around a female protagonist. While the directors have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints, all of the segments themselves involve the horror genre.
