Learn a Lesson While Watching ‘Killer Date’ Right Now

The wave of short film submissions continues on, and today produced a few treats. Carlos Omar De Leon’s Killer Date was certainly one of those treats.

Mike thinks he’s a boss with the ladies, and so, he sets up another random date because that’s what players do: they hook up with different women on a regular basis so that they might wrestle in the nude frequently. But tonight Mike’s in for a little surprise with his date, who doesn’t seem to have the same burning desire he has.

Killer Date is a fun little flick. It isn’t inventive, and it isn’t loaded with insane comedy or stomach turning gore, it’s just a quick message to the scumbag men of the earth, and it is indeed effective.

We get a few sound young performers carrying the short, and we get plenty of clean camera work. It isn’t what I’d call daring, but between the DP’s work and the flick’s editing, it looks and sounds good.

If I’m rating it, I’m giving it a solid 3.5/5. Since this is more of an awareness piece than anything else, well, now you’re aware: Killer Date is worth a watch. And it’s ready for you below, just hit play.
