YES! The ‘Phantasm’ Box Set is Coming a Lot Sooner Than Imagined!

In a move that no doubt has many of us completely shocked, Well Go USA is already gearing up to give us the Phantasm boxed set we’ve been hoping for since the arrival of Phantasm: Ravager. It certainly seemed as though a lengthy wait was in store, given the fact that the third and fourth films in the franchise had yet to receive the Blu-ray transfer.

Well, all is now right in the world.

Franchise creator Don Coscarelli is overseeing the new transfers for the third and fourth film, and according to Well Go USA, we’ll have the entire package all wrapped up and prepped for sale on March 28th!

That’s amazing news for fans, but not just fans, it’s great news for Coscarelli as well, as his brain child will finally be completed in a way that felt more of a pipe dream than a potential reality.

Congrats, Don – we lunatics will be snatching this set up with the quickness, and you deserve to see your magnum opus collected in the highest grade package possible!

Oh, and if you were wondering about additional, fresh bonus material, well, we’ll get plenty of that as well!

Coscarelli spoke with Entertainment Weekly and dropped this beautiful bombshell: “We are currently in production on new bonus content bringing together cast and crew to look back and celebrate the Phantasm franchise including commentaries and new featurettes. I’m so excited to have all five films included in one box set!”

Just in case you wanted to see the entire franchise edited and compiled into one single 90 minute flick, we’ve got this really cool cut from Jorge Torres-Torres. There’s no telling how long this will remain live on Youtube due to copyright issues, but it’s a flick worth looking into, as Torres does an awesome job of creating something cohesive here!
