Real Life Horror: A 75 Year Old Woman Actually Became Part of Her Chair… By Molding to it!
Some of these real life horrors just make the stomach turn. Take for example the story of Barbara Foster, a plus-500 pound, 75 year old resident of Springfield Township, who’d been sitting in the very same chair since July of last year. That’s about seven months… in one chair. A chair that occupied her mass so long that her flesh actually began to mold to the chair.
According to KTLA 5, crews were required to wear protective suits just to enter the home due to the extremely unsanitary living conditions.
The smell of human excrement reached the sidewalk as emergency responders worked to remove a 550-pound elderly woman from her living room chair Thursday evening. Barbara Foster, 75, had been sitting in the same place since July 2016 — long enough for her body to weaken and her skin to mold to the chair’s shape, according to a Lucas County Sheriff’s Office report.
Ms. Foster was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio hospital.
A hospital spokesman on Friday said no information was available for a patient by that name.
Foster’s home has since been yellow taped deemed unfit for habitation.
