Real Horror: Indian Teen On the Way to His Own Funeral Shocks When He Wakes Up Alive!

If you pay attention to what’s happening in the world, you’ll find some really, really creepy stuff. Like dead bodies coming back to life.

Yep, it’s time for another true story that sounds like it crawled right out of a horror master’s imagination!

Karnataka’s Kumar Marewad, 17, was bitten by a stray dog about a month ago. Last week his health took a turn for the worse and he began running a high fever. He was admitted into a Dharwad hospital where his condition continued to deteriorate. He was eventually put on a ventilator.

Doctors informed the boy’s family that he was in critical condition and that he would not survive if he was taken off life support. Apparently the infection from the dog bite had spread in Kumar’s body, and his days looked inevitably numbered.

The boy’s family decided to take him home for his final days.

“We had decided to take Kumar home after doctors told us his chances of survival were bleak once taken off the ventilator,” Kumar’s brother-in-law Sharanappa Naikar said. Noticing no body movement or breathing, Kumar’s relatives presumed him dead. They then asked the villagers to make arrangements for his funeral and headed straight to perform his last rites. Barely two kilometres from the village where the funeral was to take place, Kumar opened his eyes, moving his hands and legs and started breathing fast. Soon, he was rushed to a hospital on Gokul Road.

Apparently Dr. Mahesh Neelakhantannavar later provided another update. “Kumar is on the ventilator. We suspect he suffers from meningoencephalitis, an infection caused due to a dog bite.”

Let’s just not rush him to his funeral this time!
