‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ Has Officially Wrapped Filming

According to Jeepers Creepers 3 has officially wrapped shooting, and is still eyeing a 2017 release. It’s certainly early enough in 2017 to complete post-production and get the marketing campaign moving.

Here’s the scoop from HTY:

“The movie started filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 20, 2017. Since then it has been confirmed on verified twitter accounts related to the sequel that filming is done and the movie will be coming this year / The original plot for the film goes as follows “Trish Jenner is now a mother of a teenage son named Darry, named after the brother she lost 23 years ago. Trish has a recurring nightmare where her son suffers the same fate as her brother did, killed by the Creeper. Determined to prevent this from happening, Trish, who is now a rich and powerful woman, sets out on a final quest with Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. to end the Creeper’s reign of terror once and for all.” Since this plot was first released some things look to have changed. The newly updated plot now goes as follows: “Taking place on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three-day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.””

Here’s hoping we’ve got a studio with a big enough pair to really push the film. Director Victor Salva’s hideous past has frequently reared its head to thwart the man’s professional progress, but it should be noted that Salva hasn’t had a run in with the law in approximately 30 years. Maybe the man’s reformed. Maybe it’s time we stopped crucifying him publicly any time he attempts to make a living.

The Jeepers Creepers flicks are amazing, no matter how you slice it, and we’ve all been hanging onto the idea of Part 3 wrapping up an epic saga for a long time!
