Watch Steven Spielberg’s “Lost” Film ‘Something Evil’ Now!
Much love to our siblings in horror love, Blumhouse, for bringing this amazing find to our attention. If you’ve been a diehard horror fan for any significant amount of time, you’ve likely heard of the “lost Steven Spielberg” horror flick, Something Evil.
The movie was made-for-television and landed on the boob tube just a single year after Spielberg’s breakthrough, Duel. Unlike Duel however, the movie has been a major mystery to horror buffs, as it has been nearly impossible to track down for some time.
Well, it’s been discovered, and better yet, it’s been uploaded (a few years ago, actually – so how it’s gone unnoticed is beyond me) to Youtube, in its entirety!
The flick stars Darren McGavin, Sandy Dennis, and Ralph Bellamy and tells the tale of Sandy Dennis, Darren McGavin, and their kids [who] move into a possessed Pennsylvania farmhouse occupied by the devil himself, eager to assert his powers on new tenants. This early Steven Speilberg TV movie comes on the heels of his classic “Duel” and shares some similarities with his later production, “Poltergeist”. Speilberg’s camera trickery makes this entry much better than the usual made-for-TV ghost-story movie at the time and the director even makes a cameo appearance.
Watch the movie below – we’ve got it attached for you. And again – shouts go out to Blumhouse for bringing this one to our attention!
