Directed by Christopher Landon (‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’, ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’), the film stars Jessica Rothe (‘La La Land’) as a woman who experiences a ‘Groundhogs Day’ like phenomenon of waking up every day to her birthday. Unlike in the Bill Murray classic however, she gets killed every night.
The film seems to have a comedy/horror vibe, at least judging by the use of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” in the trailer, and the goofy\creepy baby mask worn by the killer.
It also features Israel Broussard (‘Fear the Walking Dead’), Ruby Modine (‘Shameless’), and Charles Aitken (‘Sleepy Hollow’) and is expected to be released October 13.
