A ‘Grudge’ Reboot is on the Horizon

Is nothing sacred? You bet your ass it’s not! The remake of a Japanese franchise is getting a reboot.

“Reboot” is getting to be my least favorite word, but at least the bloody thing is in competent hands. It will be produced by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, who were behind the first (American) one. (They’re also responsible for a little movie you may have heard of called ‘The Evil Dead.’)

It will be written by Jeff Buhler (‘The Midnight Meat Train’). And it shall be directed by Nicolas Pesce (‘The Eyes of My Mother’).

No word on cast yet, as this thing is just barely getting off the ground. It’s a promising start, but as far as I’m concerned they can take their time.

Whoever takes Takako Fuji’s place will have mighty big shoes to fill

I wuvs the horror movies and like to write snarky reviews about them. I also included some pretentious as hell microfiction (don't worry, it's at the bottom).
