[Trailer] The Latest Gerard Butler Genre Piece, ‘Geostorm’ Looks Gnarly
I’m a sucker for science fiction/horror hybrids. There’s just something awesome about terror in space, where there’s nowhere to run, that really floats this little boat. Gerard Butler’s newest flick, Geostorm looks like just the kind of movie designed to cater to weirdos like me. So, if you too are a little nutty for space shocks and elaborate sets and action sequences, you’ve got to check out this trailer!
Dean Devlin and Danny Cannon direct.
The flick is loaded with superb talent, including Gerard Butler, Abbie Cornish, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia and Jim Sturgess.
The film hits theaters on October 20th, 2017.
Synopsis:
When catastrophic climate change endangers Earth’s very survival, world governments unite and create the Dutch Boy Program: a world wide net of satellites, surrounding the planet, that are armed with geoengineering technologies designed to stave off the natural disasters. After successfully protecting the planet for two years, something is starting to go wrong. Two estranged brothers are tasked with solving the program’s malfunction before a world wide Geostorm can engulf the planet.
