Happy Birthday Sharni Vinson, John Leguizamo, Willem Dafoe, and Peter Jason

A lot of horror stars share the same birthday: today, July 22^nd. Sharni Vinson, John Leguizamo, Willem Dafoe, Peter Jackson, and James Whale were all born on this very day. We’re happy about that, as the genre wouldn’t be quite the same place without these killer contributors!

Sharni Vinson’s (34) credits already include Bait, You’re Next, Patrick and House on Willow Street. With the exception of the last flick on that list, those movies rocked!

I doubt many associate John Leguizamo (53) with the horror genre in specific, but after roles in Spawn, The Happening, Land of the Dead, Night Owl, and Vanishing on 7th Street, he deserves a little respect from horror hounds.

Willem Dafoe (62) is an obvious lover of horror, his ledger proves it. Dafoe doesn’t limit himself to certain genres and he doesn’t discriminate when it comes to budget. As a result, we’ve seen him in some diverse and awesome films, like eXistenZ, American Psycho, Shadow of the Vampire, Antichrist, Daybreakers, Odd Thomas, and The Great Wall.

Peter Jason (73) is a personal favorite of mine, and while his name may not ring many bells, his body of work is insanely impressive. Jason has surfaced in Trick or Treats, Dreamscape, Prince of Darkness, They Live, Arachnophobia, In the Mouth of Madness, Village of the Damned, Congo and Escape from L.A.. And that’s not even the full rundown of Jason’s work!
