RIP: 2 Years Ago Today ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper Passed Away

These kinds of articles always hurt the heart a little bit. And some may say, hey, don’t run pieces like that if it’s so painful, but to that I would have to say that I’m pleased to honor those who have done great things for our genre, whether they’re alive or not.

Unfortunately, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper is no longer with us. He passed away in the late hourse of July 30^th/early hours of July 31^st. It was a heart attack that ended the likeable Piper.

While most will always remember the Rowdy one from his wrestling days, he was actually active in the genre. Piper’s credits include They Live, Ghosts of Goldfield, A Gothic Tale, The Portal, Street Team Massacre and The Chair.

We hope things are beautiful up there, Roddy. Perhaps we’ll meet again!
