Deleted ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Clip Informs Us That Nancy Had a Sibling!

Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the most terrifying films ever made. For my buck, it’s right up there with the Exorcist’s and Halloween’s of the world. It also birthed one of the most recognizable screen villains to ever be filmed, the paralyzing child-murderer returned from the fiery grave, Freddy Krueger.

Chances are, you’ve heard of this guy.

What you may not have heard (it’s been a year or so since I watched the original flick, so maybe I’m forgetting this little detail, but I’m pretty sure it’s never mentioned) is that Nancy Thompson wasn’t always an only child. At some point she had a sibling, and Freddy Krueger, while still just a twisted and sadistic man, killed that child.

Adds a whole new wrinkle to the Thompson’s part in the revenge witch hunt, eh?
