48 Years Ago Today Shining Star Sharon Tate Was Killed By the Manson Clan

Today is another one of those days that, for some, carries horrible memories. Rising starlet and wife to Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate was brutally murdered by three of Charles Manson’s followers, Charles Watson, Susan Atkins and Patricia Krenwinkel. She was just 26 years old, and with child.

The ripples of this horrific event still move through pop culture today, as the Tate tragedy is one of the most infamous in history.

Tate’s genre credits include Eye of the Devil and The Fearless Vampire Killers.
