Netflix Sneaks a Few Excellent Movies into the Realm of Streaming

You can now view the first two seasons of Showtime’s riveting monster piece, Penny Dreadful. The third and final season is officially wrapped up, but who knows, by the time you finish watching the first two seasons, you may see the third surface online!

Synopsis: Explorer Sir Malcolm Murray, American gunslinger Ethan Chandler, scientist Victor Frankenstein and medium Vanessa Ives unite to combat supernatural threats in Victorian London.

The Lovely Bones makes for another nice addition that we didn’t see coming. The story plays out as a mystery that collided with a horror film to produce a creepy yet often touching movie. It’s an excellent film, in truth and earns a massive recommendation from us.

Synopsis: A 14-year-old girl in suburban 1970’s Pennsylvania is murdered by her neighbor. She tells the story from the place between Heaven and Earth, showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all while attempting to get someone to find her lost body.

International picture, The Presence is now available to stream on Netflix, as well. This is another one I haven’t had the opportunity to look into, but it appears to be a piece that found footage fans can get into.

Synopsis: Markus spends some time with his girlfriend Rebecca and friend Lukas in Hohnau castle which is uninhabited and supposed to be haunted. For two of them it’s the last days of their lives.
