Upcoming Horror: 25 Movies Being Released in 2017
Suspiria (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Morbid curiosity. There’s no telling what this remake will be like, but there’s a real potential for a great film here.
Death House (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Four words: The Expendables of Horror!
Saw: Legacy (TBA)
Why we want to see it: This is another pic I’m not too stoked about, but the Saw films were generally commercial successes, and if a new Saw flick means new blood and big ticket sales at the box office, I’m all for it.
Hellraiser: Judgement (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Because nothing on earth could be as embarrassingly bad as Hellraiser: Revelations. Nothing. Let’s try to erase the memory of that movie forever.
Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Because no matter how you feel about director Victor Salva, the Jeepers Creepers flicks are pure awesomeness, and we’ve been waiting on this third installment for far too many years.
Chucky 7 (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Whether you like the comedian Chucky, or the ruthless murderer Chucky, there’s amazingness in every franchise film. We expect no different from the seventh feature.
Mom and Dad (TBA)
Why we want to see it: We don’t want to see this one for Nicolas Cage’s absurd overacting, we want to see it because the idea of parents flying off the handle and into a murderous rage (aimed at children) sounds brutal on every level.
Children of the Corn: Runaway (TBA)
Why we want to see it: We’re aching to see this one because director John Gulager is the same evil genius behind the Feast trilogy, which was – for the record – absolutely awesome.
Corbin Nash (TBA)
Why we want to see it: Because there are few things in this world that sound as entertaining as Corey Feldman as a cross-dressing vampire. Seriously, that just rings magnetic.
Halloween (TBA)
Why we want to see it: John Carpenter will be heavily involved in the film, and the plan is to take Myers back to his ambiguous roots. It’s been a long time coming.
