Here’s a Slick Trailer for Christmas Themed ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Doomsday’
I cannot possibly begin to make you understand how much I adore Christmas themed horror films. And I mean I love them!
From Silent Night, Deadly Night, to Santa’s Slay, to Gremlins, to A Christmas Horror Story to Black Christmas to Rare Exports, there are so many high caliber yuletide pics out there that it’s nearly impossible to run out of viewing material while binging in the week lead up to Christmas. And, believe it or not, the bulk of these films are a lot of fun.
That’s why we’re absolutely overjoyed to learn that another seasonal offering, I’m Dreaming of a White Doomsday is headed our way soon.
Damian Maffei (Joe R. Lansdale’s Christmas with the Dead, Closed for the Season}, Hope Bikle, and Reeve Blazi star in the film, which has sights set on a Christmas release.
Mike Lombardo writes and directs the film. He also shares some thoughts on the process:
“What started as a short film we were shooting on the weekends just sort of took on a life of its own and kept growing until we realized we had a feature on our hands,” says Lombardo. “I’m usually known for doing the more comedic end of horror, so I think fans of Reel Splatter are going to be surprised at how bleak, disturbing, and nihilistic this one is. It goes to some pretty dark places.”
Synopsis: White Doomsday tells the disturbing tale of Kelly and her son, Riley, weathering the end times in a bomb shelter amidst the ruin that once was the world. With supplies and hope steadily declining, Kelly makes a horrifying decision that will cause her to discover just how far she would go for her child, and what lurks outside.
