Scream 2

Verdict: Another insanely entertaining sequel, Scream 2 makes for must-see TV, especially if you’re sitting back streaming away. It’s arguably the greatest slasher sequel since the days of Halloween and Friday the 13th, and seeing the bulk of the major ensemble of Scream return felt wonderful. It offered us fans a chance to really respect and care for these personalities. And all would have been perfect if one uber cool movie nerd hadn’t met a grim demise in a reporter’s van. A damn shame, I tell you.

Synopsis: Two years after the events of Scream, Sidney Prescott and Randy are attending Windsor college. They are trying to get on with their lives…Until a new Ghostface killing spree begins. With the help of Dewey and Gale, Sidney must find out who’s behind the murders. As the body count goes up, the list of suspects goes down.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge

Verdict: I’ve got a lot of problems with this film. In fact, I have so many issues with the film that I’m not about to start addressing every evident problem. But, while it is a very sketchy flick with a script shakier than Ikea furniture, it has its charming moments and it’s got memorable characters for sure. Still not the comedian he would one day become, Freddy was even a little creepy in this first sequel.

Synopsis: A new family moves into the house on Elm Street, and before long, the kids are again having nightmares about deceased child murderer Freddy Krueger. This time, Freddy attempts to possess a teenage boy to cause havoc in the real world, and can only be overcome if the boy’s sweetheart can master her fear.
