Streaming 101: 10 Netflix Summer Slasher Movies to Watch Online
Stage Fright
Verdict: Stage Fright might turn you off because it’s loaded with musical numbers, but the truth is, a few of the jingles these kids sing are a bit infectious. But beyond the music itself this is actually a fine little slasher with a cool killer and more than a handful of victims all but begging to be victims. One of the more underrated films of the last decade, Stage Fright makes for good fun, in my humble opinion.
Synopsis: A snobby musical theater camp is terrorized by a blood-thirsty killer who hates musical theater.
Evidence
Verdict: Technically speaking I think there are a lot of mishaps in Evidence. That said, it tries very hard to deliver fans something very different. That, I can really get behind. Some of the post production filters are irritating as all hell, but I like the mixture of standard filming formation and the found footage style. The outline of the story empowers the found footage moments, which is never a negative, if you ask me.
Synopsis: A detective hunts down a killer using video footage shot by the victims of a massacre at an abandoned gas station.
