Tales from the Crypt Will Be Back Next…
Been wondering when we’ll actually see the oft-discussed and highly anticipated reiteration of Tales from the Crypt? Contemplating M. Night Shyamalan’s involvement with the project? Just waiting to hear some news?

M. Night Shyamalan is most definitely still onboard to help bring this iconic title back to television, and yes, TNT is still the network that’s going to help spruce up our lives!
According to Slash Film, TNT President Kevin Reilly recently spoke with the Television Critics Association and dropped some valuable info for all interested.
“Tales will be on towards the end of ’17, in the fourth quarter ’17,” Reilly states.
Yeah, we’ve got a full year to wait on the big return. On one hand it sucks that we’re going to be left to wait out a calendar year before we see new Tales on the small screen, but on the positive side of things, this is actually happening, and there’s true talent involved. You can’t be too mad about that!
Rumors are swirling that we’ll see a new rendition of the Crypt Keeper as well, a direct results of rights issues. Just how radically different will our new Keeper be, and will John Kassir return to voice the character? We’re not sure, yet.
We do know that Tales from the Crypt will be the centerpiece of a new block of horror, which will also include new shows Time of Death (season one is rumored to be an ode to slasher films) and Creatures (a psychological series about a pair of best friends who become tangled up with an evil entity) in addition to plenty of classic genre films. TNT is no doubt making at a run at our little corner of the market, and if these new shows are ever decent, horror hounds will no doubt dedicate some time and affection to the Network.
For now, we’re left to wait on the sidelines and hope late 2017 arrives a lot sooner than it sounds. And, while we’re waiting, we figured we’d check out this classic episode which features none other than Brad Pitt!
