Netflix Adds ‘Sweet Home’ to the Streaming Lineup

As is customary, Netflix is throwing us a few surprise treats. We announced the viewing lineup for the month a few weeks ago, and nowhere in that list will you find the flick, Sweet Home. That’s because this is one of the surprise additions that we don’t see coming until we’re actually seeing it.

I’ve yet to check the film out, but it sounds like an interesting pic, the trailer is certifiably awesome and there’s some big talent overseeing the project.

Adrià Monés, who produced [REC] 4: Apocalypse and The Returned, stands in as one of the executive producers of the film. Carlos Fernández (the entire [REC] franchise, The Machinist, The Returned) and Laura Fernández ([REC] 4: Apocalypse, Summer Camp) are also executive producing with Valentina Chidichino (The Returned, Summer camp, [REC] 4: Apocalypse).

Jack of all trades, Rafa Martínez directs from a script co-written with Ángel Agudo (The Man Who Saw Frankenstein Cry) and Teresa de Rosendo. Ingrid García Jonsson (Berserker) and Bruno Sevilla (Anna) front the film.

Go watch it – it’s looking mighty promising.

Synopsis: Alicia is a young real estate broker who stumbles on an old apartment building, where she plans a secret and romantic meeting with her boyfriend Simon. But they don’t know, that the lessor has sent some murderers to kill the last remaining tenant. When Alicia and Simon catching them in the act, they are forced to run, hide and fight for their lives.
