The Amazing Apple of ‘Turbo Kid’ Featured in Awesome New ‘Turbo Kid’ Prequel
I catch a verbal lashing every single time I mention Turbo Kid in relation to the horror genre. That confuses me a little bit. It’s a post-apocalyptic tale in which death matches are held, biker gangs randomly victimize the living and human beings get thrown into a giant juicer to help make water. And people tell me it’s nothing near a horror film, I’m assuming, because it also happens to be a morbid coming of age tale.
No matter how you categorize it, Turbo Kid is one of the most enjoyable films to hit the market in the last decade. It’s an absolute blast and it thrills right out of the gate. The film looks like a perfect homage to exploitation of the 70s and 80s, but the dialogue and demeanor of the focal cast is completely modernized. It’s awesome, plain and simple, and Apple, who you’ll see in this video, is a true show stopper. I think she steals every scene she’s in!
That’s why I’m beyond stoked to see a new video directly related to the film!
You’re about to see No Tomorrow, a musical little piece that features Apple (the amazing Laurence Leboeuf who can sell a story with her facial expressions alone!) gifting us more memorable acting. It’s awesome, and you should stop reading my nonsense and just check out the video!
No Tomorrow is a musical short film for a track by Le Matos and was directed by RKSS. This short story is a prequel to our favorite friendship unit, Apple. Follow her in her adventure from the other side of the Wasteland, right before her memorable encounter with the Kid!
