Counting, Examining and Detailing Michael Myers’ Every Single Murder in the ‘Halloween’ Franchise!
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later
6 Human Victims
61 Hockey Face
Things get off to a rather jolting start, making a bold maneuver in the process. The first victim on the list is none other than Jimmy, played by surging young actor, Joseph Gordon Levitt. Levitt’s death is pretty much gold, as you won’t spot Jason using many ice skates as weapons of murder, and we totally expected Levitt to play a crucial role in the movie… like, maybe even one of the survivors.
Nope.
62 Tony
Tony goes out in one of the most insulting ways possible, with his back turned. Goodness, Michael, the least you could extend the kid is a chance to humiliate himself beating on an unstoppable force. It kind of worked in Jason Takes Manhattan… why not in this instance?!
63 Nurse Marion Whittington
Nurse Whittington doesn’t get the most creative kill revealed, she does however go out in old school fashion. That means she has her neck turned into a PEZ-dispenser after having her throat slit from ear to ear. It’s a gratifying slice of footage.
64 Charles Deveraux
Come on, now! Who doesn’t remember the classic corkscrew slaughter? It’s one of the cooler deaths in the franchise. If you don’t dig the hell out of that, a trip to the local hospital to run a few tests could certainly be beneficial.
65 Sarah Wainthrope
Wainthrope undergoes a pretty harrowing final battle, but at the end it all comes down to Myers abandoning creativity to get the job done, as quickly and messy as possible. Once more the shape utilizes that classic kitchen knife.
66 Will Brennan
Poor Will… he was terminated in the same fashion that a number of other victims in this film were. And, really looking at, I can’t help but to feel it was a bit… cheap. Oh well, it was it is, and there was absolutely no way in Hell that Will could survive the story!
67 Paramedic
This was our “excuse” killing. When H20 wrapped it was unanimously agreed upon that maybe the franchise had run its course, and certainly didn’t need yet another Halloween pic to clutter shelves.
The best stories have come and gone.
Only the filler remains in the franchise.
Maybe someone was frustrated with that reality, and just decided it was time to take the head of some poor extra on the set. Who knows the truth behind this intricate portrait?!
Probably no one.
I guess someone decided to go ahead and nurture that filler. H20, at least is a solid film that features a great return from Jamie Lee Curtis and introduces a heroic young son (Josh Hartnett) that viewers can get behind… not that he would ever return to the franchise.
