Counting, Examining and Detailing Michael Myers’ Every Single Murder in the ‘Halloween’ Franchise!
Halloween: Resurrection
11 Human Victims
68 Franklin Munroe
The best way to kick off a film in the Halloween franchise? Decapitate someone. Nothing outshines that, right? Franklin here was one of the film’s early casualties, and yep, he got decapitated.
69 Willie Haines
Poor Willie Haines also made the mistake of being anywhere near Myers when his murderous urges finally overtook him. Willie could have gotten out of the danger zone, but he didn’t. As a result he had his throat slashed.
70 Laurie Strode
I’ll never feel comfortable watching or discussing this moment.
When you take Jamie Lee Curtis out of the Halloween picture you do some very real damage. She’s the heart of this machine, and she always has been, even in the movies she did not appear in. So, what was the writing crew and director to do?
Kill Laurie in the opening minutes of the pic in what is a clearly rushed maneuver. Strode doesn’t deserve the finale she fought so long to avoid. To simply stab her a time or two and then chuck her over a building to hang was… just nowhere near epic enough. Strode deserved better.
71 Charley Albans
Here’s a fairly cool kill scene, as one of the many naïve goons running about this set, fans couldn’t be happier to see them all brutally done away with. Well, thanks Mike, that Tripod to the neck was a perfect fit!
72 Bill Woodlake
Will is stabbed right in the head with a damn butcher knife… how is that not extremely cool? It’s definitely one of the standouts in the movie.
73 Donna Chang
Ah, more impaling. Donna never had a chance to survive this chaotic mess of violence, and that looks obvious quite early. Hence my lack of anger when she does finally find herself impaled on a metal pole.
74 Jenna Danzig
We can add another decapitation to the list. While this would normally leave me feeling grotesquely gratified, something about it feels a bit… old at this point. Some more ingenuity would have made for a much needed breath of fresh air.
75 Jim Morgan
You may think me sick and disturbed by this, but I love skull smashing sequences in horror. They tend to be a bit gross and humorous. You know Michael had to fit in a certified skull crushing kill somewhere. Why not make it Jim? He’s annoying as it is!
76 Rudy Grimes
You want to talk about overkill? Talk about Rudy, who ends up slaughtered with not one massive knife, not two, but three. Yeah, I’m certainly uncomfortable with that excessive ultraviolence!
77 Nora Winston
Well, when it comes to horrific deaths in the franchise, they don’t get too much more extreme than this. Nora somehow finds herself hung with a cable. That’s a bad way to go… but apparently it wasn’t enough for Michael, who then impales her to the ceiling with another sizeable blade!
78 Female Nurse at morgue
And finally we have this totally and unnecessary death. The good news is it happens off screen, so we’re left with little more than speculation as to how Michael killed – precisely – her.
