Universal Pictures Keeps on Truckin’ with Johnny Depp as the Invisible Man and Javier Bardem as Frankenstein’s Monster

Universal Pictures scared the bejabbers out of the last couple generations with the classics Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy, The Wolfman, etc. Trying to stay fresh and hip, the studio is releasing a series of “Dark Universe” reboots, starting with this year’s Tom Cruise Mummy movie. Next on the agenda is Bride of Frankenstein, helmed by Gods and Monsters director Bill Condon, with Javier Bardem as Frankenstein’s monster, to be released in February 2019. Think Frankenstein’s been done to death? We’ll see if Condon and Bardem have what it takes to revive the tired old sub-genre.

I'm a mom who loves horror movies, the '80s, and the library. I write about the above three topics more than is healthy. I've got reviews, listicles, lil nonfiction pieces, and random bits of whutnot. I also included some pretentious as hell microfiction (don't worry, it's at the bottom). Because horror is life and vice versa.
