‘Tales from the Crypt’ Reboot Canceled

After a long struggle with rights issues, called by TNT president Kevin Reilly “a complete legal mess,” the TNT Tales from the Crypt reboot is no longer going to happen.

The original idea was a 10-episode season produced by M. Night Shyamalan premiering later this year, but the show has definitely been scrapped.

Instead look for TNT to put its energy into a new anthology show by Ridley Scott.

That’s a shame. Shyamalan has had a rough time but I felt his style could have been good with this.

  Yeah, I don’t know whether to be relieved or disappointed. I’m a big fan of the original, so I kinda wanted it back but I read they were totally changing the Cryptkeeper.
