Melanie Lynskey Joins the Cast of ‘Castle Rock’
In case you’ve been living under a rock (nudge, nudge, you see what I did there?), let me inform you that Stephen King’s fictional Maine burg is getting its own TV series. Already confirmed is Andre Holland as the star, with recently announced costars Sissy Spacek and Jane Levy.
Now added to the impressive cast list is Melanie Lynskey. If you don’t know her on name basis, you’ve definitely seen here somewhere. She was in Peter Jackson’s ‘Heavenly Creatures’, she was the obnoxious but comely Rose on ‘Two and a Half Men’, she was George Clooney’s sister in ‘Up in the Air’, she was the hot New Zealander lesbian Hilary in ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’. More recently, she was Mary in ‘XX’ in the “Birthday Party” segment.
On ‘Castle Rock’, “Lynskey will play Molly Strand, a woman with a rare medical condition who’s barely scraping by as a real estate agent in a town where every third property is the site of someone’s worst nightmare.”
Now that you mention it, life must be rough in the Stephen King multiverse, even as someone who doesn’t experience the phenomena directly. Imagine how the people in Derry feel!
