‘Leatherface’ Is Upon Us!

What makes a man cut off peoples’ faces and wear them as his own? Apparently the other prequel hasn’t explained this fully, because here comes another one! 

Excited? You should be! Rolling your eyes? Hold up! It’s directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, the team that brought us ‘Inside’, the terrifying and beautifully shot French gorefest. (Haven’t seen it? Watch. It. Right. Now. Go on, I’ll wait.) 

In an interview with Bloodydisgusting.com, the duo stated that ‘Leatherface’ will be “a brutal and nihilistic road movie that we hope will surprise and delight the fans.”

It stars Jessica Madsen, Sam Coleman, Sam Strike, and James Bloor as four runaways from a mental hospital, one of whom will turn out to be the titular Leatherface. It also features Stephen Dorff (‘The Gate’, ‘Blade’ ‘Feardotcom’ as a crazed Texas Ranger and Lili Taylor (‘The Haunting’, ‘The Conjuring’) as Verna Sawyer. 

The release date is set for September 21st for DirecTV customers and VOD and theatrical release on October 20th.
