More Juicy Tidbits About ‘It’; Joe Hill Calls the Film a Top 5 Scariest Film of All Time

Are you on the fence about seeing ‘It’? Well, Joe Hill, Stephen King’s son (in case you can’t tell by the fact that he looks exactly like him), and a fantastic writer in his own right, was heard to remark regarding the film that it was extremely scary.

Here’s what Hill had to say of he film:

” ‘Andres’ adaptation of IT is one of the five scariest films ever made’ Hill confidently stated. ‘It’s tremendously humane. You love the characters in it. But it is just relentlessly terrifying.’ He continued, ‘Only Jaws, The Exorcist, John Carpenter’s The Thing and Let the Right One In are scarier. It’s that good. It’s that brilliant.’ ”

King himself has tweeted that the movie has exceeded his expectations.

In other news, director Andres Muschietti is already working on It 2, the continuing story of The Losers as adults, ideally with a script in January, prep in March, and a release date of summer 2019.

Also, Muschietti has stated that the forms It takes in the movie will differ a bit from the book, which in part takes place in the ’50s, while his film takes place in the ’80s. He said, “I wanted to bring out deeper fears, based not only on movie monsters but on childhood traumas.”

‘It’ will be released September 8th.

I'm a mom who loves horror movies, the '80s, and the library. I write about the above three topics more than is healthy. I've got reviews, listicles, lil nonfiction pieces, and random bits of whutnot. I also included some pretentious as hell microfiction (don't worry, it's at the bottom). Because horror is life and vice versa.
