A Playstation 3 and… that Horrifyingly Lifelike Baby

The evil geniuses behind this Playstation 3 commercial should either be tarred and feathered, or praised to no end. One of two things occurred in the wake of this commercial’s airing.

Either Sony execs around the globe made the decision that age is no number, and even spooky little babies with reflections of a full blown Vietnam battle reflecting in their eyes could sell a PS3 easier than they could sell an ice cream (not that ice cream featured two slots ago) to an Eskimo, or Sony had yet to work out their system bugs, and they opted to craft this creep-out commercial hoping to delay the PS3 consumer rush, fear that this disconcerting baby might actually stuff himself in the packaging, only to scare children to death.

I’m going to choose to believe the former. I think Sony execs needed a few additional months to smooth out technical mishaps. Hence the hiring of this seemingly living doll that would leave the most courageous war veteran tearing up, a direct result of fear levels unrivaled. Either way, it creeped the hell out of me!
