Mugshots: 10 Famous Horror Icons with Criminal Records!

Reese Witherspoon

LEAD Technologies Inc.

Incident: Reese Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct after her husband was pulled over by police in 2013. Witherspoon refused to remain in the car and became aggressive, constantly yelling at the officers.

Horror Ties: It’s easier not to think of Reese Witherspoon as an established genre contributor than to think of her as such. But she’s been a part of a number of recognizable and varied horror films, like the family-friendly animated piece, Monsters vs. Aliens, the critically acclaimed American Psycho, and the super dark thriller, Fear.

James Cromwell

Incident: Cromwell was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct during a protest against animal research at the University of Wisconsin back in 2013.

Horror Ties: Cromwell is no stranger to our fine genre having appeared in the fantastical Stephen King tale, The Green Mile, a season of FX’s smash hit American Horror Story, the dark but genius series, Six Feet Under, the 2004 rendition of another King title, ‘Salem’s Lot, Species II, and episodes of Amazing Stories and The Twilight Zone. The man’s been around, contributing to our fine genre for decades. Apparently he’s been around, standing up for what he believes in, as well.

Emma Roberts

Incident: Domestic violence – crazy broad beat her boyfriend up!

Horror Ties: Though still pretty new to this business, Roberts has piled up all sorts of genre credits, including appearances in Scream Queens, American Horror Story, horror/thriller piece, Nerve and Scream 4. She’ll also appear in the 2017 thriller, Spinning Man.

Jason London

Incident: London got hammered in an Arizona bar where some form of physical altercation erupted. The aggressive London spent a night in the slammer, though we’re uncertain of the precise charges.

Horror Ties: A personal favorite since his work as Randall “Pink” Floyd in the brilliant coming of age tale, Dazed and Confused, London has spent a sizable chunk of his career making B horror movies, with the occasional big budget flick sprinkled in the mix. Just a few of the genre works he’s surfaced in would be The Rage: Carrie 2, an episode of Tales from the Crypt, Alien Cargo, Dracula II: Ascension, Dracula III: Legacy, The Prophecy: Uprising, The Prophecy: Forsaken, 51 and Awaken.

Incident: A wide variety of arrests, charges include violating a restraining order, Domestic Battery, Probation Violation… that’s just what I’ve got off the top of my head. Jail is Furlong’s second home, at this point.

Horror Ties: Furlong started out in the action oriented Terminator 2. He’s since gone on to appear in too many horror films to keep track of. Some of his better work can be found in Pet Sematary II, Brainscan, Night of the Demons, Aftermath and Stitch.
