David F. Sandberg, Don Mancini and 20 Other Horror Icons Tell Us What Horror Movies Scare Them!
Don Mancini (Child’s Play): To name a few: De Palma’s CARRIE… Craven’s NOES… and more recently, the underrated ORPHAN!
Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky): Candyman.
Adam Pitman (The Sighting): That is a tough question– my favorite horror flick (that many would argue isn’t horror) is Requiem For A Dream. But that film scared the shit out of me. And it’s the greatest movie of all time. If that doesn’t count it gets really fucking tough…. Cause there are so many sub-genres of horror. I have so many that I love! But I’d probably have to say Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight holds a very special place in my heart. Followed by The Thing, Dead Alive, and Rosemary’s Baby. And all things Hitchcock. And OG Texas chainsaw massacre, and Blair Witch and Evil Dead 2 and Slither and The Omen so on and so forth…
Lloyd Kaufman (Troma): Frankenstein, Evil Dead 2 and 300.
Lowell Dean (Wolfcop): Scream is up there for me. Cabin in the Woods… I like my horror with a heavy dose of dark wit.
