I’ve said it for years, and I’ll likely continue to say it until I’m a dementia patient who can’t remember his own name. There is no superhero darker than Batman. The man spends the bulk of his days in a cave, for goodness sakes, and as we all know, the man has a wealth of inner demons he battles on a daily basis. But what if Bruce Wayne, aka Batman caved in and answered the call of the dark side. A guy with his combat skills, stealth maneuvering and unwavering resilience would spell disaster for just about any hero, or human, for that matter, on the planet. An evil Batman is a damn scary thought, and all the grim themes that have coursed through Batman books throughout the decades could also make for some harrowing visuals on screen. Go, young Batman, join the dark side and forever change the world as we know it!
