It’s about time the Resident Evil franchise came screeching to a halt. We’ve seen a few strange and scatter brained films in the series, and we’re all hoping that Paul W.S. Anderson does everything possible to wrap up the Resident Evil story on a bright note. From the looks of the new trailer, this one could bring everything full circle and bring the horror back to the big screen.

You can get a look at the trailer below. This one looks to be the most promising Resident Evil feature in quite some time.

Ali Larter reprises the Claire Redfield role, Iain Glen wreturns as Dr. Isaacs, and Shawn Roberts also returns as Albert Wesker. Ruby Rose appears as Abigail, Eoin Macken (The Night Shift) is Doc, William Levy is Christian, Fraser James is Michael, and Japanese model and TV personality Rola will play Cobalt.

Look for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter to infect theaters on January 27th, 2017.

Synopsis: Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
