One of cinema’s more memorable accidents occurred on the set of Twilight Zone: The Movie. While Landis was filming his segment for the anthology a helicopter went down killing two young actors and decapitating actor Vic Morrow. Landis was initially hit with involuntary manslaughter charges, but was eventually acquitted. He paid $2 million to each of the families of the children who were killed on set.
