The Crooked Man from ‘The Conjuring 2’ Gets a Spin-off Film

Love spin-offs? Love the Conjuring universe? I damn well hope so, cause that’s what you’re getting!

Along with Annabelle and The Nun, ol’ Crookie will be getting his very own franchise. Details are sparse currently. The script will be written by newcomer Mike van Waes, who has recently finished a script revolving around a Wizard of Oz set story with a horror bent.

One can only hope that Javier Botet reprises is role as the Crooked Man. The man’s an old hand at playing monsters and appearing in horror movies, with roles in Rec, Mama, Crimson Peak, The Other Side of the Door, Don’t Knock Twice, Alien: Covenant, and It.

In addition to this film, the Conjuring universe is about to unleash a second Annabelle film and a third Conjuring film. They make respectable numbers at the box office, and as long as they do, they’ll keep coming.
