Drew Barrymore’s Female-Created Horror Anthology Picked Up by CW

Drew Barrymore’s production company, Flower Films, has begun work on a new horror anthology series titled Black Rose Anthology, which will air on the CW.

Each hour-long episode will be written and directed by women and will explore such themes as “guilt, jealousy, repression, paranoia, insanity, sexual obsession and survival through a modern and distinctly feminine lens,” reports Deadline.

The pilot episode will be written by former Scream showrunner Jill Blotevogel.

I’m thrilled to see more female-driven horror coming to the market. I can’t wait to learn who else has been tapped for this super cool project.
