If you’re one of the many to write Ouija: Origin of Evil off long before you’ve seen it, you may want to reconsider your early assessment of the flick. Unlike the first Ouija picture, Origin of Evil is directed by the supremely talented Mike Flanagan while a handful of seasoned veterans will get to work in front of the camera. It looks extremely promising, and you’ll see that right away in this trio of new clips.

Henry Thomas (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), Elizabeth Reaser (Mad Men), Doug Jones (Hellboy), Kate Siegel (Hush), Lin Shaye (Insidious) and Annalise Basso (Oculus) star in the flick.

Expect Ouija: Origins of Evil to hit theaters on October 21st.

Finally, let’s get into those three clips!

Here’s the film’s official trailer.

Synopsis: In 1967 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their séance scam business and unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home. When the youngest daughter is overtaken by a merciless spirit, the family confronts unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.
